Lo slittino è entrato nella mia
vita senza preavviso e in modo dirompente domenica 12 febbraio 2006.
Stavo andando a San Sicario, dove il giorno dopo avrei cominciato a
lavorare per il Welcome Team della Provincia di Torino in occasione dei XX
Giochi Olimpici Invernali. Mentre passavo accanto alla pista di bob skeleton e
slittino, si levò un boato e il cielo venne illuminato da fuochi artificiali.
Solo più tardi, guardando il TG, capii che in quell'esatto momento Armin Zöggeler aveva vinto il suo secondo oro olimpico. Da
allora il legame con il mondo degli sport invernali, popolato da atleti,
allenatori, giornalisti, fans e curiosi è cresciuto e si è consolidato, fino a
far nascere in me l'idea di dar vita a questo blog, a questo spazio di
comunicazione e condivisione di quella che senza remore posso definire una
grande passione.
Luge came into my life without notice and in such a sensational way
on Sunday, 12th February 2006. I was going to San Sicario,
where the next day I would have started working for the Welcome Team of the Torino's
Province in occasion of the XX Olympic Winter Games. As I passed by bobsleigh,
skeleton and luge track, there was a rumble and the sky was
illuminated by fireworks. Only later, watching the news, I understood that at
that exact moment Armin Zöggeler had won his second Olympic gold. Since
then, the relationship with the world of winter sports, populated by athletes,
coaches, journalists, fans and curious people grew and consolidated to a point
where generated in me the idea to create this blog, in this space of
communication and sharing what I can without hesitation define a great passion.
